12 August 2010 Kenya has done it! Citizens have overwhelmingly voted in a new constitution. The new constitution heralds a new beginning for the country. It addresses political patronage, gender disparity, negative ethnicity and land grabbing; issues which have afflicted Kenya since independence.

A group of young people born in Zarqa and still living there were telling their own personal stories on stage through storytelling, theatre, dance performance and break dance.

21 July 2010 Women from more than 50 villages in Zambia’s Central Province gathered together last week to give a piece of their minds to their chiefs. Nervous but certain the women asked for better rights and access to land. For most of them it was the first time to kneel down before their chief and express their concerns.

04 September 2009 The demonstrations against the coup d’état continue in Honduras. Every day, thousands of citizens gather in the capital Tegucigalpa, and march peacefully for democracy and against the de facto government. “We are not here to defend president Zelaya. We are here to defend democracy”, says one of the participants in this video, depicting the demonstration on day 37.
