About the Platform
The Global Platform in El Salvador is located in the town of Suchitoto, 45 km north of the capital city, San Salvador. The town lies between the Suchitlán Lake and the Guazapa Volcano and is known to be the most secure town in El Salvador. There is a hospital, cyber cafes, restaurants, art galleries, a theatre and a beautiful old church.
Training facilities
Training takes place outside on a large terrace, and there is additional space available to work on individual projects in smaller groups. The Platform has excellent internet access and a peaceful garden with hammocks available for those who want to relax between the training sessions.
The Platform can accommodate 20 people in rooms with bunk beds with shared bathroom and toilet. Gender separated accommodation is possible.
Partners
In El Salvador we work together with MS Central America and the local NGO, CRC. We also cooperate with Action Aid Brazil on developing training for youth in the region and on establishing a regional Activista network. Read more about the latest course for National Volunteers
Staff
On Global Platform El Salvador we have two Danish facilitators and two local facilitators as well as a camp manager from the local partner organisation.
