Yei Community Resource Centre (YCRC) is a non-governmental, non-profit making and non-partisan organisation established with the purpose of enhancing access to information. The vision of the resource centres is “a well-informed progressive and self-reliant community with the spirit of inclusiveness, hard work and respect for the rule of law and human rights geared towards building a lively, innovative and democratic society”.

The vision of the resource centres is “a well-informed progressive and self-reliant community with the spirit of inclusiveness, hard work and respect for the rule of law and human rights geared towards building a lively, innovative and democratic society”.
Objectives
- Establish an education and information centre that will provide access to skilful and professional training and development of the youth and the community at large
- Contribute to building local democracy through improved access to information
- Assist the community in attaining adequate capacity utilisation and sustainable development which protect the environment and encourage community participation and foster self-reliance
- Advocate for community needs and concerns with local government and like-minded institutions and organisations
- Bring together efforts of the existing education establishments, clubs, groups, institutions, religions and individuals to contribute and participate in the implementation of education and human development programmes
- Provide facilities for research and surveys on the needs of the community and use the results for technical, professional and training development purposes

Yei Community Resource Centre was an initiative taken by the community in 1998. In the beginning, the centre was funded by the Operation a Day's Work through NSEA. Today, the centre is independent and the development of activities are implemented by the management team and supervised by the executive board.
