17. december 2007

For the past 10 years Pernille has worked with activism, communication and development. At the end of the 90ties she engaged in peace building, campaigning and inter-cultural exchange in the Balkans. She volunteered in Tuzla in Bosnia in 1997, where she worked with refugee children from Srebrenica - and she took part in the creation of the campaign Next Stop Serbia and of the South East European Youth Network.

From June 2005 to September 2007 she worked along and across the Ugandan border to Southern Sudan for MS Uganda as an Information Adviser for the civic education project 'Education for Peace'. Since September 2007 she has worked as information officer for MS Tanzania/ActionAid Denmark based in Dar es Salaam.

She has blogged throughout her stay in East Africa - mainly about the personal challenges and perspectives of living and working in Africa as a Danish development worker.
